“As the world deserts those who midway shirk
Do not give up your task.” ( Thiruvalluvar)

This verse emphasizes the power of wholehearted commitment and the consequences of abandoning responsibilities and tasks midway. The habit of giving up not only hinders our growth but also diminishes our ability to create meaningful impact.
To unlock our full potential, we must consistently identify, dissolve, and overcome obstacles to wholehearted commitment by recognizing limiting thought patterns, confronting our fears, and facing challenges head-on. This journey requires self-awareness, unwavering dedication, inner strength, and resilience.
Swami Vivekananda urged us to “Awake, arise, and stop not till the goal is reached!” For him, weakness was the primary sin, encouraging us to be strong in every way: “Stand up and be strong! No fear. No superstition. Face the truth as it is! […] The sign of life is strength and growth. The sign of death is weakness. Whatever is weak, avoid!”
In the same spirit, Dr. Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani reminds us: “Instead of saying ‘give me a path that has no obstacles and no challenges,’ say ‘I understand the path will have obstacles and challenges, give me the strength (Vīrya) to overcome them and keep moving along.’ ”
At Stillness Does, we focus on three key elements essential for a meaningful life: Inner Stillness 🧘♂️🕊️, Vitality 🌞🌱, and Wholehearted Commitment 💖🎯. Inner Stillness brings clarity, and Vitality fuels the energy needed to pursue our goals. However, without Wholehearted Commitment, success remains out of reach - nothing significant can be achieved with half-hearted efforts. Our personalized coaching helps you dissolve and overcome the obstacles hindering your wholehearted commitment, empowering you to achieve effortless high performance and success.
Let us embrace our challenges with courage and total commitment. Keep moving forward from a place of inner stillness and high energy. What task will you commit to wholeheartedly today, and how will it transform your life?
📚✍️Written over 2000 years ago in Tamil Nadu, the Thirukkural offers timeless wisdom on the art of living through its 133 chapters, each containing profound insights on life. For English translations, I use both Dr. M. Rajaram's 'Thirukkural – Pearls of Inspiration' (Rupa Publications) and Kannan’s translation available at thirukkural133.wordpress.com .
This translation of Thirukkural 612 comes from Dr. M. Rajaram. Kannan’s translation of the same verse is as follows: "The world deserts those who desert an essential task; while executing, don’t wilt and let the task fail."
