Dr. Ananda’s insight goes beyond the mat—it speaks to life itself.

Posing to impress others is often a compensatory act for inner pain.

As we are within, so we are without.

Therefore, inward we must turn our awareness.

When triggered by a situation or seeking external approval, these are clear signs of parts of us where we are not yet free. It’s an opportunity to turn inward and explore the root of the discomfort we feel.

Through Swadhyaya—non-judgmental self-inquiry—we uncover, understand, accept, and integrate those parts we've denied. True growth begins when we take full responsibility for our inner refinement, using life’s challenges to cultivate deeper inner freedom rather than continuing our compensatory activities.

Instead of focusing on external posing, we must prioritize inner transformation.

As we change within, our outer expression will naturally follow.

This journey of self-cultivation, self-refinement, and self-integration is ongoing, deepening our understanding and expression of who we truly are. Each step we take within, peeling away the clothes of conditioning and compensatory false identities, brings us closer to our naked true nature, and to a more authentic outer expression.
